Dökümhaneler
Bir dökümhanede ısı, toz ve titreşim her yerdedir. Bu faktörler genelde hassas aletleri için doğal düşmanlardır. Hexagon Metrolojide çalışan ürün geliştiriciler, kötü çevresel şartları dikkate alırlar ve dökümhaneler için gerekli özel ihtiyaçların farkındadırlar. Bu gibi zor çevresel şartlarda bulunan büyük ölçekli parçalar milimetrenin %1' i doğrulukla ölçülmek zorundadırlar.
