Optical Probes for CMMs
Optical probes expand the possible applications of a coordinate measuring machine. They are always used when the issue is the exact inspection, with the aid of light, of delicate parts that do not permit contacting measurement. These parts include, among other items, easily deformable components or circuit boards.
The CMM-V optical probe is compatible with a series of Hexagon Metrology coordinate measuring machines; this probe uses a two-dimensional CCD sensor.

CMM-Ve is a camera for use on a CMM. The 2D light sensitive CCD and the integral LED illumination allow an area of the measured component to be illuminated and viewed. This gives the capability of optical measurement for large scale components.
